Silverleaf Resorts to Cut 203 Positions in North Texas

Silverleaf Resorts in laying off more than 200 workers in the North Texas region. In a letter filled to the Texas Workforce Commission under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, the company said it will eliminate 83 positions in Irving, where it previously had a Silverleaf Vacation Store. Another 120 cuts will be made in Pantego, southwest of Arlington in Tarrant County. Silverleaf has a call center in the city. In addition to North Texas, Silverleaf is laying off 33 workers in Tyler, Texas, and 18 in Holly Lake Ranch north of Tyler. The company has resorts in both towns.

Silverleaf Resorts, Inc. to cut 109 jobs at its North Richland Hills location by the end of 2013. The Dallas-based resort operator will permanently close its Financial Services Department in the office at 6321 Highway 26 in North Richland Hills.
