AMERICAN SYSTEMS Mulls Acquisitions
Jan 7 15
AMERICAN SYSTEMS Corporation intends to pursue acquisitions. On being asked if, the company is looking for acquisitions, Peter Smith, Chief Executive Officer of AMERICAN SYSTEMS, said, "We're staying active. We're seeing more properties that are attractive coming on the market, where they're not selling out of necessity, but because they feel it's the right time. The quality is going up. It's interesting-when there was a lull, it tended to drive prices up. But expectations were higher also. Balancing that is important. We're moving to health IT and looking for acquisitions that could give us a leg up. But I don't want a whole bunch of lot of new capabilities; what I want is access to new customers."
