BlackRock Municipal Bond Investment Trust is a closed-ended fixed income mutual fund launched by BlackRock, Inc. The fund is managed by BlackRock Advisors, LLC. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund primarily invests in investment grade quality municipal bonds that are exempt from regular federal income tax and Florida intangible personal property tax. It was formerly known as BlackRock Florida Municipal Bond Trust. BlackRock Municipal Bond Investment Trust was formed in April 30, 2002 and is domiciled in the United States.
