Skytap, Inc. Opens New London Office to Service the European Market; Announces New Appointments

Skytap, Inc. announced the opening of a new London office to service the European market, in response to growing enterprise adoption of DevOps tools in the region. To spearhead the expansion, Skytap has appointed former HP global sales executive, Chris Griggs as Vice President of EMEA, and former VMware architect, Rick Cronin as Technical Director. Skytap’s newest hires, Griggs and Cronin, were chosen to lead the company’s expansion efforts based on their deep history of successfully working in partnerships while at both HP and Stratavia. Most recently, Griggs served as director of global accounts for Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he launched the company’s DevOps initiatives. Cronin’s prior experience includes roles as a senior enterprise architect at VMware and HP’s DevOps Ambassador.

Skytap, Inc. introduced Skytap running on SoftLayer infrastructure. This new offering enables enterprises to rapidly deploy software development and test environments that seamlessly migrate entire complex environments between Skytap and IBM cloud centers globally. Skytap's EaaS environment allows customers to rapidly develop and test in the cloud, even their most complex applications, in a fraction of the time required with traditional methods. Built on the SoftLayer infrastructure, customers can use Skytap to drive a fully integrated software development experience and speed collaboration among globally dispersed teams in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. With this release, Skytap also extends its footprint into EMEA through SoftLayer's cloud center in London. This expanded access decreases latency for European customers and makes local European teams more efficient by providing nearby cloud computing resources.
