Four Seasons Hotel Bogota Set to Open on April 1, 2016

The new Four Seasons Hotel Bogotá ushers in a new era in luxury hospitality and modern dining style. Set to open in April 1, 2016, the completely remodelled building formerly known as the Hotel Charleston joins the just-opened Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá as the brand's second location in the city. Intimate at just 64 rooms – almost half are suites - overnight guests will find a haven of quiet glamour as envisioned by designer Lauren Rotett. Custom-made beds are framed by dark leather headboards and wooden panelling, while pale hardwood floors lend warmth and sensuality. Bathrooms have been completely replaced, and every modern technological need has been anticipated. In the all-new Spa, both Hotel and local guests will indulge in expert treatments featuring world-renowned products including the results-oriented Biologique Recherche from France. There's also fitness centre stocked with Matrix training equipment. Four Seasons introduces Kuru, a new concept in dining inspired by the Japanese robata grill that features prominently at its centre.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts continues to extend its leadership position with the appointment of Bart Carnahan as Executive Vice President, Global Business Development. Effective November 9, 2015, Carnahan will oversee Four Seasons global development efforts, working collaboratively with teams around the world to support the company's growth objectives and build on the reputation of Four Seasons as the partner of choice for luxury hotel and residential projects. A seasoned development executive, Carnahan joins Four Seasons from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide where he spent the last eight years as Senior Vice President Acquisitions & Development, EAME, responsible for Starwood's growth strategy throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East, for all of Starwood's ten brands. Currently based in Brussels, Carnahan will be relocating to Four Seasons global development office in London and will report to Four Seasons President and CEO J. Allen Smith.
