Leaf Resources Limited has signed an agreement to form joint venture (JV) with ZeaChem, Inc, to establish a Glycell(TM) based project in the US. Glycell process provides technology platform for the production of cellulosic sugars. As part of the transaction, Leaf Resources will invest AUD 0.55 million to increase its stake in ZeaChem to 13%. The investment comes from current cash resources of Leaf Resources. Under the terms of transaction, Leaf Resources retains full rights to all Glycell intellectual property and any associated royalties and upfront payments and ZeaChem retains full rights to its intellectual property and any associated royalties and upfront payments. Initially, the JV will be focused on the south east region of the USA.

ZeaChem, Inc. announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with probiotic product maker Pure Cultures for the development and supply of Pure Cultures' direct fed microbials. Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will cooperatively validate pilot, demonstration, and production processes at ZeaChem's Boardman, OR, facility and Pure Cultures' plant in Denver to define production protocols and product specifications.

ZeaChem Inc. announced a Product Development and Supply Memorandum of Understanding with Pure Cultures. The agreement will accelerate the product development of Pure Cultures' direct fed microbials (DFM). The companies intend to cooperatively validate pilot, demonstration and production processes at ZeaChem's facility in Boardman, Oregon and Pure Cultures' facility in Denver, Colorado with the intent of defining production protocols and product specifications. While validation work is ongoing, ZeaChem and Pure Cultures will also develop a Supply Agreement, contingent upon successful completion of the validation work, for the contract manufacturing of direct fed microbials at ZeaChem's facilities in Boardman, Oregon.
