Alstom Selects Teltronic to Supply Voice Communications to Guadalajara Metro L3

Alstom has selected Teltronic to supply a complete voice communication system for Line 3 of the Guadalajara Metro that is currently under construction. The 21.4km line will cross the full length of the city and will link 18 stations with a combination of underground and elevated running. The Teltronic solution will consist of Nebula TETRA infrastructure, a CeCoCo control centre, 18 RTP-603 on-board units, 18 SRG3900 mobile radios and 100 STP9000 hand-portables and will provide communications between all staff on Line 3, including drivers, maintenance and security staff, inspectors and the control centre.

Teltronic to Provide Radio Communications Solution for Qatar's Tram System

Teltronic has signed an agreement to provide a radio communications solution for Qatar's first tram system, part of the country's Education City project. Located on the outskirts of the capital, Doha, Education City is an initiative by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and aims to become the main education hub in the region. The multi-line tram network is an important element of the car-free 'smart city' and is designed to host environmentally friendly vehicles that require no overhead contact lines. It covers 11.5km and hosts 24 passenger stations. Siemens has selected Teltronic to design and supply a tailor-made TETRA communications system for integration with a number of on-board subsystems. The solution features hand-portable radios and on-board terminals, supporting train-to-ground communications as well as communication with the control centre and all on-board sub-systems. The system also enables the operator to deliver live announcements to passengers using the on-board public address system. All voice communication that takes place during radio operation is recorded, offering the ability to replay and analyse conversations between the vehicle and at the control centre. The project required additional input to adapt the on-board equipment to the available space and existing installations within the cars.

Teltronic to Supply CCTV Solution for Monterrey Metro

Siemens has, once again, chosen to collaborate with Teltronic, part of the Sepura Group, to supply the video surveillance solution for Line 3 of the Monterrey Metro System, Mexico. Monterrey, is finalising the successful construction of Line 3 within its rapid transit system, referred to as Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metrorrey. Line 3 will have 7.4 km of double tracks, with electric trains operating on 6.5 km of elevated structure and 0.9 km of tunnels. Siemens is responsible for implementing the signalling, telecommunications and control systems of the metro line, ahead of completion next year. Following the recent deployment of a Teltronic TETRA critical communications system within the Metro, Teltronic will supply, install and commission a security-enhancing CCTV solution. An integrated IP video surveillance system will provide high-quality video throughout Line 3's eight stations, as well as an additional station in Line 2. The system will enable remote real-time monitoring, as well as recording and long-term storage of all video footage. Teltronic will also supply the solutions and applications required within the Metrorrey Command and Control Centre.
