Standard Chartered appointed Jim McCabe as its new Chief Executive Officer. McCabe replaces Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar as CEO. Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar has moved on to head the bank's operation in the Philippines, after having steered the local franchise as its Chief Executive since 2010.

Standard Chartered (StanChart) recently appointed Pardha Saradhi as its new Chief Risk Officer. Pardha comes in to replace Aruni Goonetilleke, who has moved to Singapore to assume a new role within Standard Chartered. The bank's Risk Division will be further strengthened by the inclusion of Pardha who has over 17 years of experience in corporate banking, covering both credit risk and relationship management, as well having held leadership roles in many regions in India. He will be based in Colombo reporting functionally to Regional Credit Officer South Asia Venugopal Ranganathan and locally to Chief Executive Officer Sri Lanka Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar. Pardha will also serve on the Sustainability Leadership Team (SLT), championing the sustainability agenda for Sri Lanka and contributing to its Living with HIV agenda. He will work closely with the bank's team of spokespersons on behalf of the virus to address stigma and discrimination as well as raise awareness of the syndrome.
