Vodafone Romania Reports Earnings Results for the First Half Ended September 2014

Vodafone Romania reported earnings results for the first half ended September 2014. For the period, the company reported adjusted operating profit fell to £41 million ($65 million/€52.3 million) from £54 million a year earlier. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell to £98 million from £114 million a year earlier. The company saw its service revenues fall 5.3% year-on-year organically to €167.6 million as a result of a significant reduction of termination fees with 69% which was applied at April 1.

Vodafone Romania Launches VoLTE Technology

Vodafone Romania launched VoLTE, an innovation in the field of voice calls provided through major developments of its network. Also, Vodafone tests 'Call +', a service based on VoLTE technology that provides more interaction, productivity and personality to voice calls. Vodafone said is the first operator in Romania and one of the first operators in Europe to launch VoLTE technology and demonstrate the capabilities of 'Call +'. VoLTE uses 4G data networks to transmit voice traffic as opposed to traditional mobile networks which have different channels for voice and data.

Vodafone Romania Opens New Shop in Lipscani

Vodafone Romania opened a new store which is located on the Lipscani street in the capital Bucharest. The new shop is aligned with Vodafone's global design concept and its employees are ready to offer specialised consultancy as far as smartphones are concerned. Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are available as of October 31, 2014 in the new store and the entire network of Vodafone stores in special packages and along with Supernet benefits. The store has a surface of 100 square metres and has two levels. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are offered by Vodafone Romania along with the specially created package of Red 49.
