Imdaad Wins Waste Management Deal with Union Coop

Imdaad has signed a two-year contract to manage the waste of Union Coop. The new deal will deploy Imdaad’s sustainable waste management services across Union Coop’s 12 branches, in addition to staff accommodation.

Imdaad and Lamps 4 U Launch Green Solution for CFLs

Imdaad has signed a strategic partnership with Lamps 4 U, to ensure that end of life tubes and bulbs are not thrown in regular waste bins. Imdaad will provide special containers for collection of spent tubes and bulbs and recycle them at a special facility located in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Lamps 4 U has joined forces with Imdaad to collect CFLs and recycle them in their facility. Aside from ensuring that harmful mercury does not enter the environment, their recycling will allow the reuse of glass, metals and other materials used during production. The use of CFLs is prevalent in the UAE however, people are not aware that their disposal in landfills is toxic for the environment and humans. At the same time, there is a need to develop more facilities for the collection and disposal of discarded lights and bulbs. To this end, they have collaborated to collect burnt-out CFLs in specially designed boxes and recycle them in a partner facility, contributing to the governmentrsquo;s goal of achieving zero-waste to landfills. Both companies have come together in this joint effort as they share a common vision of ensuring that environment remains safe and sustainable for present and future generations.

Imdaad to Showcase New Facilities Management Innovations at FM Expo 2016

Imdaad announced its participation at the 2016 FM Expo, the Middle East facilities management event, taking place from May 23 to 25, 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Participating as the Integrated Facilities Management (FM) Partner, Imdaad will host a stand at Zarsquo;beel Hall 6, F120, set up completely from recycled materials. During the fair, Imdaad will showcase the latest technologies in integrated FM, including new approaches to environmental and waste management solutions as the industry looks to align business operations to best practices that reduce the environmental impact of buildings.
