GreenLight Capital To Reportedly Raise Funds

GreenLight Capital, Inc. plans to raise money and will begin accepting capital from existing investors on November 1, 2014 and new clients from December 1, 2014, Bloomberg reported citing an investor. Jonathan Gasthalter, a spokesman for GreenLight Capital, Inc. declined to comment on the decision.

BioFuel Energy Corp. (NasdaqCM:BIOF) has received a preliminary non-binding proposal from GreenLight Capital, Inc. and James R. Brickman pursuant to which one or more newly-formed, wholly owned subsidiaries of BioFuel Energy will acquire JBGL Capital LP, and their direct and indirect subsidiaries. BioFuel Energy has appointed a legal advisor, financial advisor and other advisors to assist its board of directors in evaluating the strategic alternatives regarding the proposal.
