SEPHORA announced opening of 60 new locations opening this fall in Salinas, Calif. Nearly half of the 60 new Sephora inside JCPenney locations will debut on April 29, with the majority to be open by June 17, 2016.
CEVA Logistics Signs New Agreement with Sephora

CEVA Logistics has announced an expansion into the beauty industry in Brazil with the signing of a new agreement with Sephora. Under the contract, CEVA will consolidate a variety of cosmetic products such as make-up, fragrances, hair care products, accessories, body and bath products and its own brand, Sephora Collection, from 40 distribution points within Brazil into one of CEVA's multi-user sites located just outside of Sao Paulo. In order to meet Sephora's strict requirements CEVA has invested heavily in climate control infrastructure to enable the storage and handling of over 7,000 SKU and approximately three million individual order items each year. CEVA will manage the inbound, warehousing, outbound and reverse logistics to Sephora stores across the country.
SEPHORA Launches New Color IQ Features for Lip and Concealer Using Accurate Color Capture Technology

SEPHORA unveiled two new features within the SEPHORA + PANTONE Color IQ foundation matching service, lip and concealer color matching. These two new complimentary in-store services take the guesswork out of finding the best lip and concealer shades for the skin tone. In just minutes, customers can filter through Pantone's comprehensive SkinTone library and determine their most flattering colors from over 3,500 lipstick shades and over 400 concealer shades. Powered by the original revolutionary Color IQ device launched in 2012, the new Lip and Concealer matching services precisely determine the best color options based on the client's personalized PANTONE SkinTone shade. The SEPHORA + PANTONE Color IQ device uses tri-directional color image capture technology to record 27 color-accurate images in 1.8 seconds using 8 different visible illuminations and 1 ultraviolet illumination for precision matching. This data is synthesized into a grid of 100x100 pixels, which then becomes a color composite and is assigned an official PANTONE SkinTone number. That number is the key to unlocking the best shades in foundation, concealer and lip color, and helps eliminate time and money-consuming trial and error. SEPHORA + PANTONE Color IQ for Lip leverages PANTONE's color science and the power of SEPHORA's artistry expertise to find the perfect lip color. Based on the results of the scientific foundation match, and invoking SEPHORA's know-how about undertones and color harmonies, the results are inclusive of all colors, formulas and brands carried by SEPHORA. Clients can select from over 3,500 lip shades in seven color families like nude, pink, berry, coral or red and results can even be sorted further by texture, finish, and format, then emailed directly for future reference. SEPHORA + PANTONE Concealer IQ uses the same PANTONE SkinTone number to find the optimal matches from over 400 different concealers across all brands that SEPHORA carries. Each shade was placed on the SkinTone Library grid using spectrophotometer color match, the same methodology used for Color IQ foundation matching, and then further categorized based on end use, such as under eye area, face/blemish cover, or brightening, for flawless results. SEPHORA + PANTONE Color IQ for Lip and Concealer are complimentary services launching exclusively in all U.S. SEPHORA retail stores in September 2015.
