The Bank of East Asia, Limited has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Bank of East Asia China Limited, or BEA China, has entered into a strategic co-operation agreement with WeBank Co., Ltd. In accordance with the Strategic Agreement, BEA China and WeBank agree to fully explore their respective competitive advantages for mutually beneficial business development. The areas of co-operation include but are not limited to: customer referrals, credit card, micro and personal loans, wealth management, interbank lending, and internet finance. The strategic agreement sets out a framework through which both parties may separately agree and enter into contracts for subsequent business co-operation, if any. Any such co-operation will be subject to all necessary regulatory approval.

The Bank of East Asia, Limited announce that, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank, entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with WeBank Co., Ltd. on 16th April, 2015. In accordance with the Strategic Agreement, BEA China and WeBank will treat each other as an important partner. The parties agree to fully explore their respective competitive advantages with a view to achieving joint business development and maximising mutual benefits through business cooperation under the Strategic Agreement. The business under cooperation includes but not limited to: customer referrals, credit card business, micro and personal loans, wealth management business, interbank lending and internet finance business. The strategic agreement sets out the framework for future cooperation, and the parties will separately agree and enter into contract(s) on their subsequent business cooperation, if any. Furthermore, the launch of the businesses mentioned above is subject to all the necessary regulatory approvals being obtained.

The Bank of East Asia China Limited Opens New Branch in Nanning, Guangxi

The Bank of East Asia China Limited has opened a new branch in the city of Nanning in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Nanning Branch will mainly serve domestic and foreign-invested corporate customers, offering them a wide range of banking and financial solutions in Renminbi and foreign currencies, including customer deposits; short, medium, and long-term loans; bills acceptance and discounting; trading of government bonds, financial bonds and other securities (except equities); documentary credit and bank guarantees, remittance and settlement; and credit search and consulting services.
