Cox Communications announced that its gigabit Internet service for residential customers has launched. Marketed under the brand name G1GABLASTSM, Cox now offers speeds 100 times faster than the average speed in the U.S. Cox is deploying residential gigabit Internet speeds to new developments across Oklahoma City and Tulsa and in Cox locations across the country. The company has already launched G1GABLAST service in 10 states and will have gigabit speeds in all of its markets by the end of 2016. Cox has offered gigabit speeds to businesses for more than 10 years. The service offers speeds as fast as 1,000 megabits per second. It will deliver more speed, a powerful home network and rich broadband enabled services to customers. The service also includes the latest high-speed WiFi router, one terabyte of cloud storage, Cox Security Suite and Family Protection and 10 email boxes each with 15 gigabytes of storage.
Cox Communications Launches More Than 5,000 New WIFI Hotspots in Phoenix and Tucson

Cox Communications announced the launch of more than 5,000 new WiFi hotspots in Phoenix and Tucson, bringing the total Cox WiFi hotspot offering throughout Arizona to over 7,000 locations. These hotspots are strategically located in high-traffic areas like businesses, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and malls in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Peoria, Glendale, Surprise and Sun City West to name a few communities in the Valley. The timing could not be better as people are out shopping and traveling during the peak holiday season, once again bringing added value to Cox customers in Arizona. There are now more than 10,000 Cox WiFi hotspots nationwide that qualifying Cox customers with Preferred, Premier and Ultimate Internet packages can connect to. In addition, it's collaboration with other cable providers, called CableWiFi, offers Cox customers access to the WiFi network of more than 400,000 hotspots across the country.
