Ralphs to Shutdown its Grocery Store in Tustin in July

The Ralphs grocery store in Tustin on Irvine Boulevard, off Newport Avenue, is set to shut down in July. By September, the site will be converted to Tustin's first Smart & Final. Around the same time, Ralphs' Mission Viejo location on Trabuco Road will open as a Smart & Final. Other recently announced Ralphs closures in Southern California include the Laguna Niguel market on La Paz, which will close in July, and stores in Orange, Chino and Riverside. In Tustin, Ralphs will sublease the 36,400-square-foot space to the warehouse-style grocer Smart & Final.

Ralphs Store to Close at Oceanside Boulevard

The Ralphs store on Oceanside Boulevard is set to close November 8, 2014, due to declining revenues. The store's 67 employees will not be laid off. All will be offered positions at other Ralphs stores.

Ralphs Ratifies New Agreements with Southern California UFCW Locals

Ralphs Grocery Company announced that associates have ratified a new labor agreement with UFCW Locals. The contracts cover approximately 18,000 associates working in 228 stores in Southern California. The contracts are with UFCW Locals 8GS, 135, 324, 770, 1167, 1428 and 1442.
