The J. Jill Group, Inc. Key Developments

J. Jill Reportedly Mulls IPO

The J. Jill Group, Inc. intends to launch an initial public offering (IPO). J. Jill has tapped Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and Jefferies Group LLC as underwriters for a possible IPO, a source familiar with the matter said. TowerBrook Capital Partners L.P. will sell its stake in the IPO. TowerBrook could seek to sell about $150 million of J. Jill shares at a valuation of $750 million to $800 million, one of the people said. An IPO is likely a better option for J. Jill than an outright sale as there are few corporate buyers with the appetite and wherewithal to pull off a purchase of the company, several people said.
