Stinson Leonard Street recently announced the election of six partners in the firm's Missouri offices and the hiring of three intellectual property attorneys in the St. Louis office. Newly-elected partner Mike Campbell focuses his practice in the areas of banking, commercial finance and general corporate law. He counsels private companies on mergers and acquisitions and various types of financing transactions including preferred and debt offerings. He also represents banks on all aspects of lending from loan origination to loan workouts, and represents businesses in commercial contract negotiation and other general corporate matters. Jeannie Boettler and B. Scott Eidson join the firm as partners. Stinson also announced the addition of Steven Kazmierski in the role of counsel. All three attorneys joined the firm from Armstrong Teasdale. Boettler represents clients in the chemical, biotechnology and life sciences industries. She provides strategic IP advice, helping clients assess patent viability and prepare noninfringement and invalidation opinions. Eidson helps clients resolve disputes over patents, copyrights and trademarks defend against patent trolls and enforce client's valuable intellectual property. He has successfully defended clients against allegations of infringement and trade secret misappropriation, winning verdicts at trial. Kazmierski advises clients in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patents, as well as the licensing and enforcement in the biotechnology, chemistry and life sciences fields. Kazmierski helps clients navigate the federal regulations that govern the pricing of pharmaceutical drugs and with biotechnology prospecting. Rich Cook has been elected partner in the firm's Real Estate Division. His practice focuses on economic development, government relations, real estate transactions, special district formation, financial services and tax incentives. He represents clients in a wide variety of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, financing and leasing of all major property types, including office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily projects, industrial properties, hotels, resorts and mixed-use projects. Partner Elizabeth Tassi helps clients obtain and enforce patent, trademark, copyright and trade dress rights in her intellectual property practice. Many of her clients are in the medical device, food service and chemical innovation industries. Tassi has handled a number of administrative proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the National Advertising Division. Zach Hemenway, who was recently elected partner, practices in the firm's Business Litigation Division with an emphasis on data law, information governance, and e-Discovery and analysis. In addition to directing and implementing cost-effective collection and review efforts, he has worked with clients to formulate policies for managing information, including standardizing and effectively implementing litigation holds. Sarah King, a member of the Tax, Trusts and Estates Division, was also elected partner. She develops personalized estate and tax planning strategies that include wills, living trusts, insurance trusts, annuity trusts, multi-generational trusts and family limited partnerships, as well as charitable gifting. She helps family businesses owners plan for retirement and foundations and charities secure 501(c)(3) status. Partner Megan McCurdy represents individuals and businesses in a variety of complex lawsuits and arbitrations, including financial service actions, contract disputes, business torts and product liability actions. She was on the defense team for a collection of bank clients against claims of lender liability. She assisted in the successful defense of a class action claim against a Fortune 100 infant care company pertaining to alleged chemical risks associated with use of the company's products.
