JAL Group reported earnings results for the first six months ended September 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported net income attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 103.40 billion, or JPY 285.24 per share, compared to JPY 80.32 billion, or JPY 221.50 per share, for the same period ended September 30, 2014. Operating revenues for the first six months ended September 30, 2015 were JPY 687.93 billion, compared to JPY 683.77 billion for the same period ended September 30, 2014. Ordinary income the first six months ended September 30, 2015 was JPY 122.64 billion, compared to JPY 91.7 billion for the same period ended September 30, 2014. Operating income for the first six months ended September 30, 2015 was JPY 119.98 billion, compared to JPY 92.86 billion for the same period ended September 30, 2014.

JAL Group (JAL) has signed a firm order with Embraer S.A. for a total of 15 E-Jets comprising the E170 and the E190 jets models, as well as for an additional twelve E-Jets family options. New deliveries of E-Jets are scheduled from 2015. E-Jets are designed from a double-bubble fuselage concept, which provide customers with more in-flight space than the other same-size jet. Additionally, E-Jets powered with the reliable GE CF34 engines that produce less noise and offer high level of operational efficiency. Introduction of E-Jets will enable JAL to match capacity with demand on each route, as well as achieve improved on-time performance and reliability. The airline is looking forward to expanding its regional network more efficiently and strives to provide customers with better convenience.
