Viper Announces the Viper SmartStart 4.0 App is Available for the Apple Watch and Android Wear

Viper announced that The Viper SmartStart 4.0 app is now available for the Apple Watch and Android Wear, allowing drivers to quickly and easily start, control, and locate their vehicle from virtually anywhere using their smartwatch. The iOS version is available in the app store now. Viper is making a beta version available for Android users here, and the full version of the Android app will be available within two weeks. Viper SmartStart 4.0 works with virtually any after-market car, allowing drivers to talk to or tap on their smartwatch to find, lock, unlock, and remotely start their vehicle, as well as manage alerts. Drivers can follow turn-by-turn directions back to their car, pop their trunk, hit the panic button, and receive low battery alerts all from their wrist. In addition to its smartwatch functionality, the Viper SmartStart 4.0 app for iOS and Android, announced earlier this year, offers a number of features for smartphones. Its improved, easier-to-use speed alert can show when young drivers are speeding, and users can set a SmartFence to designate certain areas as restricted they receive an alert when the car enters or exits that perimeter. When maintenance is needed, the app notes diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and explains the issue. Drivers can call upon roadside assistance in an emergency with a tap of their finger. The new app is compatible with all existing Viper SmartStart hardware, providing current and future users with an intuitive user interface and quick access to key features. Viper SmartStart 4.0 now uses CDMA/3G wireless connectivity for nationwide coverage and to reduce power consumption in the vehicle by up to 30%.

Viper Networks, Inc. and Apollo Metro Solutions Inc. Receives an Order for Intelligent LED Streetlights for Pilot Project in Lebanon

Viper Networks Inc. announced that the company in partnership with Apollo Metro Solutions Inc. received an order for their Intelligent LED Streetlights for a Pilot project in Lebanon from the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities of the Lebanese Republic. The estimated time period to complete the short-term pilot project is 2 to 4 weeks, which is slated to confirm the LED Street Lights operational reliability with the smart grid wireless control units for LED Street Lighting. Several years of testing with various domestic and foreign municipalities have already proven that Apollo Metro's Intelligent LED Street lighting technology with Wireless Street Light Controller consumes 65 to 80% less energy than traditional lamps. Furthermore, even greater savings can be achieved by the addition of Apollo Metro's remote monitoring and control features. The integrated Wireless Street Light Control fits inside the Apollo fixture and provides a visual indication of all Apollo Metro street lights. With the short-term pilot project commencing shortly, the Company is well along in the process of securing potentially favorable terms to finance the initial contract period, which is expected to run from 12 to 24 months and run into the tens of millions of U.S. dollars.
