Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. has announced the appointment of Robert "Bob" C. Boucher Jr. as the new president and CEO with effect from July 13, 2015. Robert "Bob" C. Boucher Jr. succeeds Mark A. Weidman who announced his retirement from the role after 25 years with the firm. Weidman has played a key role in developing the Wheelabrator business, including under Waste Management's ownership, in the U.S., the U.K., and other global markets. Weidman will continue to be with Wheelabrator in a consulting role to ensure a smooth transition with the firm's customers, partners and communities. Robert "Bob" C. Boucher Jr. was earlier the CEO and executive director of Transpacific Industries Group Ltd. Beofore Transpacific, Boucher worked across the U.S. waste management sector for over 20 years, serving in senior executive roles with Republic Services Inc. and Synagro Technologies Inc., and management positions with Waste Management and American Waste Systems.

Wheelabrator Technologies Mulls Sale Of Claremont Energy-From Waste Facility

Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. is seeking sale of Claremont energy-from-waste facility. Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. announced on March 26, 2015 that its Claremont energy-from-waste facility is for sale. Wheelabrator has entered into an agreement with Stuart B. Millner & Associates (SBMA) to manage the sale. The plant may be sold completely intact and ready to operate or as separate pieces of equipment. SBMA is now accepting offers on Wheelabrator's behalf to purchase the facility in its entirety. If no agreement is reached prior to April 13, 2015, the company will hold a live auction for the sale of all or part of its assets Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The planned auction will be a live onsite and online event. Bidders can either bid in person at the Claremont facility or register online at bid spotter to place bids across the internet in real time.
