Wheelabrator Technologies Mulls Sale Of Claremont Energy-From Waste Facility

Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. is seeking sale of Claremont energy-from-waste facility. Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. announced on March 26, 2015 that its Claremont energy-from-waste facility is for sale. Wheelabrator has entered into an agreement with Stuart B. Millner & Associates (SBMA) to manage the sale. The plant may be sold completely intact and ready to operate or as separate pieces of equipment. SBMA is now accepting offers on Wheelabrator's behalf to purchase the facility in its entirety. If no agreement is reached prior to April 13, 2015, the company will hold a live auction for the sale of all or part of its assets Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The planned auction will be a live onsite and online event. Bidders can either bid in person at the Claremont facility or register online at bid spotter to place bids across the internet in real time.

The North Wales Residual Waste Treatment Project Appoints Wheelabrator Technologies to Build New Incinerator

The North Wales Residual Waste Treatment Project (NWRWTP) has appointed Wheelabrator Technologies. The bidder has been selected to build an £800 million incinerator in Deeside which will burn 150,000 tones of waste a year. The Welsh Government's statutory targets require local authorities to recycle at least 70% of household waste by 2025, and to landfill no more than 5% of the residual waste. Wheelabrator is proposing to build and operate an energy recovery facility at site next to the Shotton Paper Mill on the Deeside Industrial Park. A planning application will be submitted later this year after consultation with residents.

Inashco B.V. Forms Joint Venture with Wheelabrator Technologies Inc

Inashco B.V. has formed a 50:50 joint venture with Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. to establish Eco Recovery Solutions LLC. Eco Recovery is a North-American company engaged in recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the waste-to-energy (WTE) process. The JV allows Wheelabrator to establish the foundation for the deployment of a new, disruptive technology that will bring environmental benefits and enhanced economics to the waste-to-energy industry.
