Walmart opened a Store. The new store is conveniently located at 3705 E. South St. and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The store will provide Long Beach residents with low prices on a broad assortment of groceries and merchandise, along with a full service pharmacy. Walmart is making shopping more convenient than ever as local residents can shop for more than a million additional items online on Walmart.com and pick them up at the new Long Beach Walmart store for free, often as quickly as the same day. The new store employs approximately 200 full- and part-time associates. Store manager Jesse Gonzales began his Walmart career in 2009 as a developmental shift manager. Fresh, Affordable Produce, Meat and Groceries Long Beach customers will find meal and entertaining essentials, fresh produce and a full line of groceries from leading brand names, including organic selections. By working with growers, Walmart is able to provide farm-grown quality produce at added convenience and low prices. There is also a wide variety of meat and bakery selections, including fresh baked breads and tortillas. Convenient Local Pharmacy and General Merchandise In addition to groceries, the store features quality, value-priced general merchandise, including electronics, furniture, home decor, automotive, sporting goods, home improvement and more. The pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members are ready to assist customers with product and prescription questions. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended April 30, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Second Quarter of Fiscal Year 2016

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended April 30, 2015. For the quarter, the diluted EPS from continuing operations was $1.03. Currency negatively impacted EPS by approximately $0.03. E-commerce sales globally increased approximately 17%. Consolidated operating income declined 8.3%, due to impacts from currency fluctuations and investments in associate wages & training and e-commerce. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of $114,826 million against $114,960 million a year ago. Operating income was $5,680 million against $6,193 million a year ago. Income from continuing operations before income taxes was $4,856 million against $5,625 million a year ago. Consolidated net income attributable to the company was $3,341 million against $3,593 million a year ago. Diluted net income per common share attributable to the company was $1.03 against $1.11 year ago. Income from continuing operations attributable to Walmart was $3,341 million or diluted net income per common share of $1.03 compared to income from continuing operations of $3,582 million or diluted net income per common share of $1.10 for the same period last year. Net cash provided by operating activities was $4,446 million against $5,939 million a year ago. Payments for property and equipment were $2,203 million against $2,157 million a year ago. Free cash flow was $2.243 million against $3.782 million a year ago. The decrease in free cash flow was due to lower income from continuing operations and the impact of the timing of payments for inventory, as well as the timing of income tax payments. The company expects second quarter fiscal year 2016 earnings per share to range between $1.06 and $1.18.
