Baltimore Gas and Electric Company reported unaudited earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported GAAP net income of $46 million, compared with $50 million in the third quarter of 2013. Adjusted (non-GAAP) operating earnings were $46 million compared with $51 million in the third quarter of 2013. Baltimore Gas and Electric Company's Smart Energy Savers Program recently teamed up with University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health to help Upper Chesapeake Health better manage their energy use through BGE's Combined Heat and Power Program. Upper Chesapeake Health unveiled its new combined heat and power plant, which is located on site at the medical campus in Bel Air, Maryland. BGE presents University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health with $1.5 million in incentives through the BGE Smart Energy Savers Program Combined Heat and Power Program. Overall, the completed combined heat and power energy efficiency project is expected to save Upper Chesapeake $9 million over 20 years and will generate approximate 13 million kilowatt hours annually, making a positive impact on the electric grid, the local environment and importantly, the employees and patients of Upper Chesapeake Health.

Effective June 2, 2014, Matthew Bauer, Vice President, Power Finance, Exelon Power, will be named Baltimore Gas and Electric Company's (BGE) Vice President and Controller. Mr. Bauer succeeds David M. Vahos, who was recently elected as BGE's interim Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bauer, 37, has served as Vice President, Power Finance, Exelon Power since 2012. Previously, Mr. Bauer served as the Director of Retail Financial Planning and Analysis for Constellation Energy Group Inc.
