Solectria to Deliver 32.5 MW of Inverters to Safari Energy for National Real Estate Investment Trusts
Jul 14 15
Solectria announced at Intersolar North America that it is delivering 32.5 MW of its PVI 20TL and PVI 28TLthree-phase transformerless inverters to Safari Energy for a nationwide rollout of PV projects for several large national landlords. Safari Energy selected a distributed method for these PV systems for many reasons, including reduced upfront and long-term costs and increased energy production. The redundancy provided by multiple inverters will preserve system uptime and protect profits. Each mall included in this portfolio will be commissioned by the end of 2015. Together, they are anticipated to generate over 1 billion kWh, enough to power almost 100,000 residential homes and remove 700,000 metric tons of CO2 from the earth’s atmosphere. This is the environmental equivalent of about 750 million pounds of coal burned, 79 million gallons of gasoline consumed and 1.6 million barrels of oil consumed.
