Lemon Tree Hotels Plans To Go Public

Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd. plans to sell shares to the public in the next 18 months. Lemon Tree is yet to finalize the amount it plans to raise from the primary market. “We will hire investment bankers in the next three months to prepare for our initial public offering (IPO) and it will also provide a partial exit to our existing private equity investor,” said Patu Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director, Lemon Tree.

Lemon Tree Hotels Seeks Acquisitions

Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd. is looking to acquire resorts to expand its portfolio and aims to grow both through acquisitions as well as organic expansion. "We currently have three operational resorts — Goa, Aurangabad, Alleppey — and two under construction in Shimla and Udaipur. We want to have 10-12 resorts in the next three-four years," said Patanjali G Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels.

Rahul Pandit to Quit Lemon Tree Hotels as President and Executive Director

Lemon Tree Hotels' president and executive director Rahul Pandit has quit the company to head Ginger Hotels as managing director and chief executive. Pandit has been working with Lemon Tree since 2003. He earlier had a stint at Tata Group's Indian Hotels Company, working in different operations roles at the Taj Hotels unit between 1994 and 2001.
