Common Sense Names Jessica Lindl as Vice President and General Manager of Common Sense Education

Common Sense reported that Jessica Lindl has been named vice president and general manager of Common Sense Education. According to a media release, Lindl's background includes work at both for-profit and nonprofit organizations such as GlassLab, Scientific Learning, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, she has worked to improve learning outcomes for all children by blending effectiveness with engagement. She also served on the board of Education for Change, a Charter Management Organization in Oakland, California, and Ecology Project International.

Common Sense Media Announces Executive Changes

Common Sense Media, Inc. announced that Craig Cheslog and Daniel Weiss will co-direct Common Sense Media's advocacy platform. Cheslog, co-director and vice president for California Policy, will be based in San Francisco. He joins Common Sense from the office of Tom Torlakson, California's superintendent of Public Instruction, where he served as principal advisor since 2011. Weiss, co-director and vice president for National Policy, will be based in Washington, D.C. He retired from Capitol Hill in December after twenty-six years working for Congressman George Miller (D-CA), including the last 20 as Miller's chief of staff and as a strategic advisor for Miller's work as Chairman and Senior Democrat on the House Education and Labor Committee.
