Societe Generale Banka Srbija Opens €14 Million Office Building in Belgrade

Societe Generale Banka Srbija has opened a new, 10,000 sq m office building in Belgrade following a €14 million ($15.7 million) investment. The new business facility, a so-called smart building, has a capacity of 420 employees. It was built in partnership with local construction co Imel Group, news agency Tanjug reported late on Wednesday. The A-class high rise building was planned in line with the latest architectural trends and will, in addition to office space, offer employees a gym with a capacity of 150 people. The smart building meets high environmental standards and contains a mini electrical power plant, a parking lot with solar chargers for electric cars and a special rainwater recuperation system.

Societe Generale Banka Srbija a.d. Beograd announced that Maria Rousseva was appointed president of its executive board, pending the approval of the Serbian central bank. Prior to the appointment, Rousseva served as deputy CEO of Société Générale SA Bulgarian unit Societe Generale Expressbank AD. She will replace Frederic Coin, who will continue his career in Paris.
