CEC Entertainment Inc. announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter and six months ended June 28, 2015. For the quarter, total revenues were $212,079,000 against $186,574,000 a year ago. Operating loss was $188,000 against $4,905,000 a year ago. The increase is primarily related to additional revenues of $17.8 million resulting from the Peter Piper Pizza acquisition, which closed in October 2014, and an increase in same store sales at Chuck E. Cheese's stores. Loss before income taxes was $17,512,000 against $20,144,000 a year ago. Net loss was $9,892,000 against $12,784,000 a year ago. The decrease in the net loss is due to an increase in same store sales at Chuck E. Cheese's stores and net income from Peter Piper Pizza for the second quarter of 2015 of $1.7 million. Adjusted EBITDA on non-GAAP was $41,094,000 against $36,928,000 a year ago. The increase is primarily related to incremental Adjusted EBITDA for Peter Piper Pizza, offset by increases in store expenses associated with the increase in store revenues and an increase in rent due to fewer landlord incentives being received than the prior year, as well as investments made in advertising. Capital expenditures were $23.9 million for the second quarter of 2015, of which $15.3 million were related to IT and growth initiatives, including new store development, major remodels, store expansions and major attractions. The decrease in the net loss is due to an increase in same store sales at Chuck E. Cheese's stores and net income from Peter Piper Pizza for the second quarter of 2015 of $1.7 million. For the six months, total revenues were $265,508,000 against $255,819,000 a year ago. Operating income was $44,687,000 against operating loss of $494,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $27,188,000 against loss before income taxes of $13,688,000 a year ago. Net income was $14,742,000 against net loss of $13,168,000 a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $67,371,000 against $39,145,000 a year ago. Purchases of property and equipment were $38,628,000 against $32,268,000 a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA on non- GAAP, was $121,788,000 against $119,118,000 a year ago.
