Webster Bank Appoints David Miree as Executive Vice President for Consumer Deposits, Investments, and Network Management

Webster Bank announced that David Miree is the executive vice president for consumer deposits, investments, and network management. In this capacity, Miree will oversee Webster's banking center and customer care center network as well as Consumer Deposits and Webster Investment Services business. He will report to Nitin Mhatre, executive vice president, community banking. Miree comes to Webster from Santander Bank, which he joined in 2011 and was most recently executive vice president and managing director of its U.S. retail network and small business banking. Prior to that, Miree worked for three years at Wachovia/Wells Fargo in Philadelphia, where he was responsible for leading more than 300 branches and later became regional president. His experience previous to that included positions at Chevy Chase Bank in Bethesda, Md., GE Capital Co. in Cincinnati, and Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, where he began his banking career as a branch manager in 1991.

Webster Bank, National Association has named Xay Khamsyvoravong as vice president and head of municipal lending. In this role, Khamsyvoravong will be responsible for developing the extension of credit to municipalities across the Bank's northeast footprint and extended mid-Atlantic region. He joined Webster in 2012 as vice president of Webster's municipal advisory group. Before joining Webster, Khamsyvoravong worked in Manhattan for Morgan Stanley's public finance investment banking group.
