iQor Completes Second Expansion of its Contact Center in Dasmarias, Philippines

iQor announced that it is adding an additional 65,000 sq. ft. to its Dasmarias, Philippines contact center. The third floor expansion will triple the call center’s size since its initial opening in October 2013. The expanded facility will span 195,000 sq. ft. and is expected to employ 5,000 by the end of 2015. Client growth and a strong labor market is fueling iQor’s expansion in Dasmarias, which is located 17 miles south of Manila, an area where many locals call home. When iQor first selected Dasmarias as the call center hub for the Philippines, it looked for a central location.

IQor Announces Relocation of its Global Headquarters

iQor announced that it is relocating its global headquarters from New York City to One Progress Plaza in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. More than 100 employees are expected to move into the new, three-floor office space in January 2015.

iQor US Inc. Plans to Lay Off 107 Employees and Close its Tampa Facility

iQor US Inc. has notified the State of Florida that it plans to lay off 107 employees and close its Tampa facility. The facility, located at 7710 North 30th St., will close between Feb. 1, 2015 and March 31, 2015, according to the worker adjustment and retraining notification the company sent to Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. Among a variety of technicians, the majority of positions affected by the layoff are electronic technicians and repair shipping/receiving clerks.
