Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. announced the IS25LP256D (3V) and IS25WP256D (1.8V), the newest 256Mb member of its Serial NOR Flash family. These high performance products feature read speeds up to 166 MHz in Single/Dual/Quad I/O and 80 MHz in double data rate (DTR/DDR) modes, delivering read performance of 80 MB/s as well as fast programming throughput of 1.28 MB/s. SPI Flash reduces the number of signals needed for connection to the host system, offering an excellent solution for systems with limited space, signal connections, and power. It is ideal for a broad range of applications, such as Automotive, Industrial, Medical, Communications, Networking, and IoT. ISSI’s SPI devices are offered in Automotive Grade supporting a temperature range of -40 to 125°C and are fully AEC-Q100 qualified. Both versions of 256Mb SPI flash, IS25LP256D (3V) and IS25WP256D (1.8V), are ramping into production and add to ISSI’s extensive selection of flash components, including 256Kb-128Mb SPI NOR, Parallel NOR, NAND, and HyperFlash™ products. ISSI provides long lifecycle product support as required by customer applications in Automotive, Industrial, and other high-reliability market segments. Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. has unveiled the next-generation family of LED drivers, IS31FL3733, IS31FL3736 and IS31FL3737, to support LED matrices consisting of 192, 96 and 144 LEDs respectively. With the introduction of these devices, ISSI expands its FxLED driver family to offer the widest selection of matrix LED driver solutions for gaming, consumer and white goods applications. ISSI's LED matrix architecture provides designers with flexibility in controlling individual LEDs or an array of LEDs resulting in simplified color adjustment and lighting zone selection for a large array of LEDs. The IS31FL373x family of matrix LED drivers integrates many advanced features such as a configurable matrix (row/column) architecture, pre-programmed lighting effect functions, individual LED control registers, individual LED open/short fault detection, device cascading with synchronization; all accessible via a fast 1MHz I2C compatible bus interface. Each LED has its own corresponding control and fault status register to provide individual LED lighting effects, de-ghosting and fault reporting for enhanced overall system performance and reliability. LED matrix architectures typically experience a "ghosting effect" where an LED remains dimly ON due to a residual charge in the LED array matrix. The IS31FL373x family eliminates this residual charge and therefore the ghosting effect. In addition LEDs can fail to turn ON due to an LED open or short condition without the knowledge of the system. The IS31FL373x family detects the failed LED condition, stores this in the open-short registers and generates an interrupt to notify the system of the location of the failed LED within the array.
Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. Announces Sampling Production Units of its New 1-Gigabit (1Gbit) DDR3 Drams with ECC

Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. announced it has begun sampling production units of its new 1-gigabit (1Gbit) DDR3 DRAMs with ECC. The new product has an embedded Error Correcting Code (ECC), which detects and corrects bit errors on-the-fly. It requires no monitoring, nor intervention to use, yet it is backward compatible with standard DDR3. The 1Gbit DDR3 device is the IS46TR16640ED, which is organized as 64Mbx16, packaged in a 96-ball BGA, and operates at 1.5V. ISSI is also offering IS46TR81280ED, which is organized as 128Mbx8, packaged in a 78-ball BGA, and operates at 1.5V. Both are available in three automotive temperature grade options: A1, which operates over -40C to +95C; A2, which operates over -40C to +105C; and A3, which operates over -40C to +125C. This adds to the DDR3 SDRAM product family, and ISSI's extensive selection of DRAMs. Just as ISSI is doing with its other DRAM products, ISSI is able to provide the long lifecycle product support as required by customer applications in Automotive, Industrial, and other high-reliability market segments. In addition to the new DDR3 with ECC, ISSI offers a broad line of SDR, mobile SDR/DDR, DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 products, as well as a comprehensive line of asynchronous and synchronous SRAMs with densities from 64Kb to 72Mb, 256Kb-256Mb automotive grade flash memory products, and analog & mixed signal products.
