Consumers Energy Selects Accenture to Deploy New Ventyx Digital Platform to Help Improve Field Worker Safety, Productivity and Customer Experience

Accenture has been selected by Consumers Energy to deploy new mobile workforce management (MWFM) software from Ventyx to help field workers improve safety, productivity and customer experience. Accenture will work with Consumers Energy and Ventyx to implement the latest release of Service Suite with optimized, automated dispatching, for schedulers, dispatchers, field crews and supervisors. This will replace Consumers Energy's legacy mobile workforce management system, providing efficiency improvements with real-time work status, integrated scheduling and appointments, field data collection and reporting with real-time views of parts, people and other resources. As a result of these efforts, Consumers Energy field supervisors will have new digital tools, ranging from pinpointing crews on maps to more easily verifying timesheets, with unprecedented access to their teams workload and status. This project is part of a broader program within Consumers Energy called Field Mobility which supports Consumers Energy's overall vision to become their customers' trusted energy partner.

Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd) is strengthening its relationship with Ventyx by adopting the latest version of the Ventyx Network Manager Outage Management System (OMS) as part of a comprehensive software and hardware upgrade. Ventyx Network Manager OMS is a mission-critical system for ComEd Distribution Operations, providing operational decision support during outages. It integrates information about customers, system status and resources to predict and find the location of outages, dispatch repair crews efficiently and effectively communicate with customers throughout the process. The Ventyx OLM solution is a key part of a utilities' holistic approach -- plan, prepare, communicate and respond -- to reducing both total outage duration and the amount of time individual customers lose power in an outage. Ventyx's OLM solution has been credited with reducing outage duration by as much as 30% and customer power loss by as much as 20 minutes across North American utilities. By enabling utilities to improve outage planning, preparation and customer communication and automate truck dispatching, Ventyx's OLM solution saves utilities money by reducing truck rolls, call volumes and dispatcher staffing levels. ComEd uses two of the three main components of the Ventyx OLM solution suite of products. OMS has been a core capability for more than a decade, and more recently ComEd has been relying on the FocalPoint analytics platform since 2012 to provide critical communications to customers regarding outages.
UIL Holdings Selects Accenture, Structure and Ventyx to Help Improve Customer Communications

To help reduce the duration and impact of power outages and enhance network efficiency, UIL Holdings has teamed with Accenture and Structure to implement a new solution from Ventyx. The companies will work together to seamlessly integrate the Ventyx Outage Lifecycle Management (OLM) solution with UI's information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) to improve communications to customers, performance, reliability and grid management. This will enable the utility to better handle outage response during storms while managing crews and resources more efficiently during normal operations. Accenture and Structure will collaborate to provide comprehensive process design, technology deployment and configuration, testing and integration services across the IT and OT solution. Accenture will leverage its experience in helping to transform utilities transmission and distribution capabilities. It will manage the day-to-day operations of the project, from systems integration, business process design and change management through to the implementation of the most recent operations and information technology to drive improvements for UI's customers, employees and shareholders. Structure will bring its expertise in real-time transmission and distribution operational control systems by providing business process design, system integration and implementation of the outage management and distribution operation's components.
