InFocus Corporation Key Developments

InFocus Corporation Introduces the Kangaroo Notebook Bundle for Modular Mobile PC Experience

InFocus Corporation announced the Kangaroo Notebook, the latest addition to its line of mobile computing devices. The new Kangaroo Notebook is a modular laptop PC designed to offer users extraordinary value in a versatile and personal mobile computing experience. Available as a packaged bundle, the Kangaroo Notebook pairs a lightweight laptop dock, with two interchangeable Kangaroo Mini PCs running Windows 10. The Kangaroo Notebook is the ideal solution for individuals who want a customized yet secure PC experience with the peace of mind that comes from having the ability to decide which information is securely stored on each of the Kangaroo Mini computing modules. From data, images and documents, to passwords stored in web browsers, Kangaroo Notebook offers users privacy and choice. Parents may choose to store important financial and personal information on one CPU and dedicate the second module to games, movies and apps for the family. The Kangaroo Notebook gives users the flexibility to decide and create their own personalized mobile computer through the inclusion of the two Windows 10 CPUs, without the common disadvantages of sharing storage space and performance caused by having multiple user accounts on one PC. The Kangaroo Mini computing modules create separate PC experiences that are entirely independent from each other but delivered in one lightweight HD laptop dock. Two PCs, total privacy, small footprint. The swappable computing modules come loaded with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of eMMC storage, and an Intel Z8350 Cherrytrail CPU providing users with the freedom, flexibility and privacy of two full Windows 10 PCs. The 11.6" high-definition laptop dock features a full keyboard, Synaptics Clickpad, battery, webcam, ports, a microphone, and speakers. The interchangeable Kangaroo Mini CPU hardware provides new levels of privacy and information segregation, which is particularly useful for a shared home PC. The Kangaroo Notebook will be available in North America only on Newegg.com for the introductory price of $299.99.

InFocus Adds Native 4K to its Jupiter Catalyst Display Wall Processor Family

InFocus announced its Jupiter Catalyst 4K, the latest addition to the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst family of display wall processors. Catalyst 4K delivers razor-sharp ultra HD 4K resolution to every display on a video wall, offering exceptional performance within a cost-effective, space-efficient solution. Catalyst 4K will debut at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas at the InFocus booth #N1417. Offering the best performance in its class, the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K processor delivers bandwidth reaching 336 Gbps providing Ultra HD 4K resolution and high frame rates. Native 4K input and output decoding in addition to support for standard HD sources enables advanced visualization of multiple simultaneous, high-quality data and video feeds, delivering the detail that matters in the most demanding environments. Shipping with the just-announced InFocus Jupiter Canvas 5.0 collaborative visualization software, the combined products offer seamless access to a consolidated, visually precise display of business intelligence in a user’s network. Canvas 5.0 manages sources including live streams from network cameras and mobile devices, application screens from PCs and real-time data feeds. Users can view, share and annotate on the live feeds with remote colleagues working on a range of different devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptop PCs, and desktop PCs, or in conference rooms equipped with InFocus Canvas Touch or CRS-4K display endpoints. Space efficient yet scalable with support for up to four extension chassis, Catalyst 4K is ideal for display wall projects of any size – from control rooms to smaller conference rooms and executive office applications. It supports up to 28 4K sources, up to 56 HD sources and up to 12 4K displays, which can showcase up to 48 HD sources. InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K is available immediately.

InFocus Releases Canvas 5.0

InFocus announced its Jupiter Canvas 5.0, a new version of its collaborative visualization software. Canvas delivers real-time video, data, and application screens from across the enterprise to display walls, smartphones, tablets, PCs and conference room systems including InFocus Jupiter Canvas Touch and CRS 4K systems. Canvas enables users to share information and collaborate on this consolidated business intelligence, anywhere in the corporate or mobile network in a highly secure environment. InFocus Jupiter Canvas 5.0 will debut at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas at the InFocus booth #N1417. Canvas 5.0 features an array of ease of use and flexibility enhancements along with upgraded security features and improved display wall control. Features include a new web-based multi-touch interface and support for Workgroup environments in addition to Active Directory environments for user authentication. Canvas 5.0 also adds support for native 4K video sources, driving Ultra HD displays through the InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K display wall processor, also announced and integrated with Canvas 5.0. The new Mimic Touch interface extends web-based multi-touch, object-based control of Canvas sources to users in any location. Mimic Touch controls images, text, web-based content, DVI Windows and other applications, enabling users to drag and drop windows anywhere on a display wall juxtaposing images for a 360-degree view of operations. High-quality visualization of assets, always a Canvas focus, is now available with even more incredible clarity through native 4K support, enabling the display of 4K and 1080p HD sources together on one wall. This capability is available through the new InFocus Jupiter Catalyst 4K display wall processor, built specifically for Canvas 5.0. Flexible and secure, Canvas offers the option of using either Workgroup environments or Active Directory for user authentication with the same object-level security, enterprise-wide. Canvas 5.0 is an upgrade to Jupiter Control Point and earlier Canvas versions. Canvas 5.0 now ships standard with all InFocus Jupiter Fusion Catalyst and Catalyst 4K display wall processors. Canvas 5.0 is available as an upgrade to previously sold Jupiter Fusion Catalyst 1000, 4000, 4500 and 8000 display wall processors, free for those systems currently under the company’s maintenance program. Canvas 5.0 is available immediately.
