Polaris Industries Inc. has announced that earnings for 2016 is expected to be in the range of $3.30 to $3.80 per diluted share, $2.50 to $2.70 per diluted share lower than previously expected of which approximately two-thirds is expected to be incurred in the third quarter. The company also expects total sales for the 2016 to be down in the mid to high-single digit percent range compared to previously issued guidance of flat to down 2%.

Polaris Industries Inc. has unveiled the MY17 RZR XP Turbo EPS and RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS vehicles. Featuring a new ProStar Turbo H.O. engine that unleashes 168 horsepower. To match the horsepower upgrade - and improve the 2016 models - the 2017 RZR XP Turbo models feature new, high-capacity cooling, and a driveline to get that power to the ground. The high-capacity cooling includes a new powerful, variable-speed, brushless fan coupled with a new 40% high-flow front grill and a 20% engine radiator. The new cooling ensures the engine can breathe for maximum power delivery. The RZR XP Turbo EPS and RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS boast the most premium suspension, with exclusive FOX Podium Internal Bypass Shocks that deliver the plushest ride and best handling found on a side-by-side. The shocks generate progressive damping force that gives the vehicles a smooth ride with all the bottom-out resistance expected from ultra-performance off-road vehicles. Large-diameter shock bodies (3-in/7.6 cm rear, 2.5-in./6.4-cm front), adjustable remote reservoirs and increased fluid capacity provide dramatic improvements in heat dissipation, fade resistance and durability. By using five compression zones to provide progressive damping as the shock gently absorbs bumps and stiffens to prevent bottoming, the Internal Bypass Shocks feel like five shocks in one. Combine that with three zones of rebound damping to minimize pitching, plus harsh top out for an ultra-plush ride and better handling over a wider range of terrain at any speed. For ultimate agility, the vehicles feature front and re-tuned rear stabilizer bars to virtually eliminate body roll for flatter cornering. For quicker steering, both vehicles have a new 1.5-turn steering rack, paired with standard Electronic Power Steering (EPS). The RZR XP Turbo EPS and RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS performance ensures precision stopping. The brakes feature large, triple-piston front calipers, dual-piston rear calipers, stainless-steel rotors and large 248-mm ventilated discs on all four corners, for powerful stopping performance. The RZR XP Turbo EPS and RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS will be available in late 2016 in Titanium Matte Metallic and Cruiser Black. The two-seat model will retail for $24,999 and the four-seat for $27,499. Both models come with an extended two-year factory warranty when purchased before December 31, 2016. For customers looking for performance at value pricing, the 2016 RZR XP Turbo is available for $19,999 and the 2016 RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS is $22,499.

Polaris Industries unveils new 2017 Polaris 600R Race Sled Polaris Industries Inc. has announced the launch of new 2017 Polaris 600R Race Sled in winter 2016. Celebrating the return of the Rush XCR models, the new Polaris 600R Race Sled shares a lot of the same premium technology found on production models like the 600 and 800 RUSH XCR. The new Polaris 600R Race Sled and RUSH XCR represent the Polaris heritage of using racing as a testing and proving ground for advanced technology that elevates the performance of production models ridden by enthusiasts across the snowbelt. The new Polaris 600R Race Sled is the latest evolution of a proven racing platform that has won on snocross tracks, ice ovals, and cross-country courses. This new sled was developed through the integration of the latest technology along with race-proven features of the previous platform. Some of the same premium technology is also found on Terrain Dominating production models like the 600 and 800 RUSH XCR. For over 60 years, Polaris has pushed the technological envelope in snowmobiles and racing to win championships and to develop suspension, engine, and chassis technology for production sleds The improved steering system features a steering post that is 13.5 degrees flatter than on the previous race sled for improved rider mobility, cornering, and sled maneuverability. Steering effort is reduced through an improved steering ratio. The new exhaust system is designed to conform to the sled's new, narrower bodywork, and it is engineered to deliver enhanced performance. Additionally, the sled's performance is improved by: new clutch weight design for improved holeshots; and a new drive belt that improves performance and provides greater durability. The 2017 Polaris 600R Race Sled also features proven components such as the quick-accelerating 600 Cleanfire engine, lightweight crank, IFS (Independent Front Suspension), and rear suspension with improved shock calibration for optimized ride and balance. "This is advanced technology that wins races and contributes to its development of Terrain Dominating consumer sleds," Wolf said. Polaris has long been the industry leader in Terrain Domination, both on and off the race track. Several models that excelled both on the trails and in racing carried one of the legendary sled names in Polaris history: XCR. The XCR name was introduced in the early 1990s on a sled that was a close replica to the model that dominated cross-country racing and carried Hall of Fame Polaris racer Jack Struthers to back-to-back wins in the grueling I-500 (1991 and 1992). Like that original XCR, the new 600 and 800 RUSH XCR are race-ready. Polaris engineers achieved the goals of light weight, strength, and durability with race-proven suspension components, like the chromoly rear pivot, reinforced rail beams, and solid bogie wheels. The RUSH XCR is the sharpest handling, quickest accelerating sled on the trail with features including: the AXYS Chassis that provides Rider-Balanced Control for flatter cornering, more precise handling in all conditions, and better control in big bumps and chatter bumps; PRO-XC Suspension with Active Pitch Control to optimize weight transfer; the Independent Front Suspension is equipped with Walker Evans Hi/Lo Compression Adjustable Piggyback Needle Shocks with XCR valving, giving a rider the greater tunability to suit personal riding styles and the day's conditions; and the Polaris Race Technology (PRT) Brake System has superior components and enhanced cooling to deliver optimized braking in all conditions.
