Air Works Reportedly Seeks IPO

Air Works India (Engineering) Pvt Ltd is preparing for an initial public offer to raise about INR 7 billion through issue of fresh shares and part stake sale by promoters and existing investors. A source familiar with the development said Air Works plans to use the proceeds for business expansion. The IPO is expected in 12-15 months, the source added. Air Works did not respond to an email query seeking comments on the topic, reported Business Standard.

Air Works India Seeks Sale

Air Works India (Engineering) Pvt Ltd is on the block and its promoters and investors expect valuation of up to INR 18 billion, three people with knowledge of the development said. "Investment bank Jefferies has been appointed to look for buyers. Initial talks with local and global players in the segment have begun," a person with direct knowledge of the deal said. Investors such as New Enterprise Associates, GTI Capital, Elephant Capital LLP and Punj Lloyd Ltd. (BSE:532693) that together own 71% stake in Air Works "expect total value of INR 15 billion -INR 18billion", said another person involved in the talks. An investment banker with knowledge of the deal said Air Works was initially considering an initial public offering. "However, the management and the shareholders have now decided to look for a strategic investor," the person said.
