EDF Renewable Services (EDF RS) and Romax Technology have signed a partnership agreement whereby EDF RS will provide labor specialists for Romax's technical and engineering services. By combining Romax's deep technical knowledge in drivetrain design, turbine reliability and independent engineering with EDF Renewable Services expert field technicians and years of experience, the companies together will provide greater value to their customers by rapidly deploying technicians and reducing costs. Romax regularly supports most of the top 20 wind owner/operators in the U.S. with a focus on building technology in its Romax InSight division to improve turbine reliability and better manage the costs of failure, through monitoring, predictive maintenance, life extension, failure analysis, inspections, and related services. By working closely with EDF RS, the firm is able to faster scale its InSight technology to reduce the cost of energy for the industry.
Romax Technology Opens the Doors to Brand New 5.6m Head Office

Romax Technology is officially opening the doors on June 18, 2014 to its brand new 5.6m head-office at the University of Nottinghams Innovation Park (UNIP). The new, purpose built 3100 m2 facility incorporates offices and a training suite, and will also give Romax space to grow in the future, creating more jobs and growth for the region. In addition to this, Romaxs continued desire to promote green energy across its portfolio will see this reflected in the new building. As well as aiming to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating for the project, the building incorporates environmentally friendly building technologies within its move such as sustainable construction techniques including biomass heating, building heat recovery and reuse, waste water recycling, solar shading and a bio diverse green roof. The move to the new site further demonstrates the continued success of the business. The opening of the Romax Technology Centre is the latest phase in the rapid development of the Innovation Park. In recent years the company have launched new technology centres in aerospace, energy and geospatial engineering and, next year, the company will be opening its GSK Centre for Sustainable Chemistry.
Romax Technology Limited Releases Dynamic FUSION to Create Transmission and Driveline Multibody Models

Romax Technology Limited announced that the need to drastically improve the speed and accuracy of gearbox and driveline Multibody Dynamics (MBD) analysis has been addressed by the release of Dynamic FUSION, developed by Romax Technology. MBD analysis is a key tool in solving driveline dynamic problems but building multibody models by hand is a technically difficult, time consuming and error-prone process. A single design may require a number of different MBD models to be made with each model being specifically constructed to assess a specific potential driveline dynamic problem. With every model taking days or weeks to generate it is not surprising that MBD analysis is not used to maximum effect in the design process. The advantages of Dynamic FUSION include: the ability to build on the robust engineering intelligence generated in the CONCEPT and RomaxDESIGNER packages. Enabling more effective use of analysis to support design, leading to better optimised products and significantly reduced development cycles. Maximising the utilisation of specialist engineering resources. Allowing users to rapidly and efficiently iterate engineering design changes as a result of MBD analysis, using CONCEPT and RomaxDESIGNER as model generator for MBD analysis.
