BTIG, LLC announced that John Silver, Managing Director of Foreign Exchange, and Andrew McSweeney, Managing Director of Interest Rates, have joined the firm's growing Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Group in New York. Mr. Silver has nearly 30 years of industry experience across fixed income, currency and commodities. Prior to BTIG, he was an Executive Director of Foreign Exchange at Nomura. Mr. McSweeney has over 20 years of experience in U.S.Treasury products. Prior to BTIG, he was a Senior Vice President of U.S. Treasuries at Credit Agricole Securities.

Andre Suaid Joins BTIG, LLC as Managing Director Within its International Equities Group in New York

BTIG, LLC announced that Andre Suaid has joined the firm as a Managing Director within its International Equities Group in New York. Mr. Suaid will focus on U.S. and Latin American-based institutional clients, navigating developed, emerging and frontier markets throughout Latin America. He joins an established, global team of professionals throughout BTIG’s nine U.S. offices, and affiliate office locations in London, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. The move comes in response to increasing client demand and heightened focus in the region. Previously, Mr. Suaid was Head of Latin America Global Prime Finance and Head of International Equity Trading for the Americas at Deutsche Bank Securities. He was responsible for the execution of Deutsche Bank's international products for global clients, overseeing the risk for Latin America Cash, Delta One, and Program and Synthetic Trading. Mr. Suaid was also part of the leadership team responsible for building out the Latin America Synthetic Platform at Deutsche Bank.

BTIG, LLC Announces Management Appointments

BTIG, LLC announced that James Sullivan, Michael Gorman, and Tom Catherwood, will join the firm to provide Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) research coverage. Mr. Sullivan joins BTIG as a managing director, covering all property types. Most recently, he was a managing director and REIT Analyst at Cowen, where he served for the past seven years. Mr. Sullivan held a similar role at Prudential for over a decade. Earlier in his career, he was the chief executive officer for U.S. affiliates of the diversified Korean manufacturer Jindo. Mr. Sullivan was also a Co-Founder and the chief executive officer of Textainer. He began his career as an attorney with Crane and Hawkins in London, specializing in international tax and exchange control regulations. Mr. Gorman joins BTIG as a managing director, covering the healthcare, triple net, strip center and regional mall subsectors. Most recently, he was a director and REIT Analyst at Cowen. Previously, Mr. Gorman held similar roles at Janney Montgomery Scott, Credit Suisse and Prudential. He began his career as an Equity Analyst at Value Line. Mr. Catherwood joins BTIG as a director, covering the office and industrial subsectors. Most recently, he was a vice president and REIT Analyst at Cowen. Previously, Mr. Catherwood was an Associate within the Real Estate Strategy Group, and a project manager and chief of staff within the Real Estate and General Services Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He began his career as a project manager and construction estimator at Grunley Construction.
