Elektroprivreda BiH Plans to Build Five Small Hydro Power Plants in Vares Area

Elektroprivreda BiH plans to build five small hydro power plants (SHPPs) in the municipality of Vares. Vares officials met with members of EPBiH's board for capital investments and officials from the Zenica-Doboj canton to discuss the power utility's planned capital investments. The local community has already issued water permits for the construction of three SHPPs. Work on the project can begin once the government of the Zenica-Doboj canton grants its approval. The hydro power plants will be built on the rivers Stavnja and Tribija. Although the projects will not create local jobs, the municipality stands to profit from concession fees.

JP Elektroprivreda BIH D.D. Sarajevo reported earnings results for the first half ended June 2015. The company net profit fell to BAM 3.1 million ($1.7 million/€1.6 million) in the first half of 2015 from BAM 9.1 million a year ago. Operating revenue fell 4.1% to BAM 456.9 million through June. Net profit was hit by additional costs and unfavourable FX effects. In the first six months of 2015, the company produced a total of 3,356 GWh of electricity, 10% short of plan.

Elektroprivreda Mulls Sale Of Valter Peric

JP Elektroprivreda BIH D.D. Sarajevo seeks to sell Valter Peric at a starting price at €0.53, the entity's privatisation agency said. The building will be sold via a tender scheduled for July 29, the Federation's privatisation agency said on its website.
