Elektroprivreda BiH reported earnings and operating results for 2014. For the period, the company's net profit plunged to almost BAM 6 million from BAM 39.5 million a year earlier. Operating revenue fell 2.9% to BAM 952.3 million in 2014.

Elektroprivreda BiH said it plans investments totaling BAM 2.1 billion ($1.2 billion/EUR 1.07 billion) in the 2015-2017 period. The company said in a statement issued after its shareholders approved its three-year business plan that it intends to invest the funds - raised from own and external sources, in production, distribution, supply, and trade operations, capital infrastructure, mining and other joint projects. The company's strategic objectives for the three-year period are building replacement thermal capacity and power generation capacity using renewable sources, completing the recapitalization of the group's mines and their modernization and restructuring the company in line with local and EU regulations. Over the timeframe of the three-year business plan, the utility will prioritize the construction of the new Unit 7 at the Tuzla thermal power plant, the 48 MW Podvelezje wind park, the 20 MW Vranduk hydro power plant (HPP) and the 13.3 MW Janjici HPP as well as the construction of small HPPs on the Neretvica river.

Elektroprivreda BiH reported earnings results for the first half of 2014. For the period, the company reported its net profit fell to BAM 9.1 million ($6.2 million/€4.6 million) from BAM 22.2 million a year ago. Operating revenue fell 2.5% to BAM 476.6 million through June while operating costs rose to BAM 461 million from BAM 444.5 million.
