Crocus’ CTSX Magnetic Field Sensor Family Completes Qualification

Crocus Technology announced that Crocus’ CTSX magnetic field sensor family has completed qualification. The CTSX magnetic sensor product family includes CTSX100, 200 and 300 series. They are based on Crocus’ proprietary Magnetic Logic Unit™ (MLU) technology and are ready for shipping to selected customers. TowerJazz, Crocus’ strategic manufacturing partner, qualified the sensor products on its 130nm CMOS process. TowerJazz will fabricate the CTSX product family and offer the new highly-advanced developed sensors to its customers. Crocus developed the CTSX magnetic sensors to respond to market demand for high sensitivity and low-cost solutions in multiple applications. The CTSX product family offers several important advantages; including proprietary differential programming, high sensitivity, high linearity, excellent frequency response and low power. These are key drivers for enabling high performance and low cost solutions. The CTSX product family is suitable for switching, current sensing, position sensing, as well as rotation and speed sensing; addressing the needs of multiple market segments. These markets cover consumer, industrial and process control, energy and transportation segments. In addition, the CTSX magnetic sensor family provides highly reliable performance over a wide temperature range up to 250 degrees Celsius, unmatched by competing products. This makes them a frontrunner for automotive applications. The CTSX magnetic sensor product family includes multiple architectures, which are based on Crocus’ Magnetic Logic Unit™ (MLU), a disruptive CMOS-based rugged magnetic technology. This enables Crocus’ magnetic sensors to exhibit several orders of magnitude of higher sensitivity. Benefits to customers come in the form of low power, a robust design and high temperature performance.

Future Electronics Signs Distribution Agreement with Crocus Technology

Future Electronics announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Crocus Technology. Future's distribution network will speed market penetration of Crocus' non-volatile memory and magnetic sensors products. Crocus' disruptive Magnetic Logic Unit(TM) (MLU(TM)) technology matches Future's goal of promoting leading edge products with superior service to customers of all sizes around the world and welcome the opportunity to leverage vast global supply chain services and engineering capabilities to help drive the widespread adoption of Crocus' products.

Crocus Technology Licenses MLU(TM) Technology to ARM

Crocus Technology announced it has licensed its Magnetic Logic Unit(TM) (MLU(TM)) technology to ARM(R). Magnetic Logic Unit (MLU) is a CMOS based rugged magnetic technology capable of offering important advantages in performance, size and security for embedded micro-controllers. MLUs solutions are used in mobile and security applications, such as smart cards and secure data servers, replacing Flash and RAM. Crocus' MLUs are also ideally suited to new applications in extreme operating conditions, particularly in high temperature automotive and industrial equipment. For Crocus, the agreement further demonstrates the strategic importance its very promising MLU technology is having among major industry players seeking to enhance embedded security in connected devices. Crocus will provide ARM with access to its MLU technology. This includes access to MRAM blocks in sub-90nm technology which can replace traditional Flash based non-volatile memory, plus MIP(TM) (Match In Place(TM)) enabled technology which enhances the security of keys and other secret data.
