Los Angeles Police Department Air Support Unit Selects FlightSafety International to Provide Bell 412 Helicopter Training

FlightSafety has been selected by the Los Angeles Police Department Air Support Unit to provide training for the Bell 412 helicopter. The training will be conducted at FlightSafety's Learning Center in Dallas, Texas using a new Level D qualified interchangeable Bell 212/412EP FastFin simulator. When configured for the Bell 212, the simulator will offer the Garmin GPS500 and simulated Bell 3-axis autopilot. The Honeywell EDZ-705 EFIS System and Honeywell SPZ-7600 3-axis autopilot with 4-axis autopilot change-out will be used for Bell 412 training. The simulator will feature FlightSafety's new VITAL 1100 visual system and CrewView glass mirror display. The VITAL 1100 visual system enhances training by providing mission specific photo-realistic imagery with vastly improved scene content, and exceptional environmental effects. FlightSafety's CrewView glass mirror displays deliver superior optical performance, sharper image clarity, and are night vision capable.
FlightSafety International to Build Boeing 777 Simulator for Japan's New Government Aircraft Program

FlightSafety International announced that it has received an order to design and manufacture a Boeing 777-300ER full flight simulator for Japan's new government aircraft program. The simulator is expected to receive Level D qualification from the Civil Aviation Bureau of Japan following delivery in the first quarter of 2018. It will be installed at the Chitose Air Base in Hokkaido, Japan. The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator features tightly integrated computer hardware and software across subsystems which allow for more accurate and higher fidelity simulation. It offers a new multi-function Instructor Operating Station designed to enhance the effectiveness of training by providing an intuitive interface, scalable graphics, and large multi-touch displays. The simulator will be equipped with FlightSafety's VITAL 1100 visual system and feature a database of close to 100 airports to support the demanding mission requirements of this program.
