Banglalink announced revenue results for the fourth quarter and full year of fiscal 2014. For the year, the company posted operating revenues of BDT 44 billion, an increase of 11% compared with the year-ago quarter, mainly due to higher voice, interconnection and VAS revenue.
In the fourth quarter, the company's revenue increased 14% year-on-year to BDT 11 billion, driven by a growth in ARPU of 10% and 7% increase in customer base to 30.8 million. Since the 3G launch a year ago, data revenue has increased 85% year-on-year in the fourth quarter.

This groundbreaking transaction represents the first international bond offering from Bangladesh there has never been a Bangladesh sovereign bond or corporate bond issue on the international capital markets before. The company plans to use the proceeds to repay existing debt and finance capital expenditures. Banglalink posted operating revenues of BDT 11 billion in the third quarter of 2014, an increase of 10% compared with the year-ago quarter, mainly due to higher voice, interconnection and VAS revenue Meanwhile, the operator's EBITDA stood at BDT 4 billion in the quarter, up 20% year-on-year. The EBITDA margin increased 4.4 percentage points year-on-year to 39.7%. The operator's capex for the first quarter of 2014 reached USD 50 million, climbing 193% from USD 17 million in the year-ago quarter.
