Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended Sep. 30, 2015. The comopany has reported that profit for the third quarter ended September 30, 2015 was AED 489.84 million, or AED 0.11 per share, compared to AED 558.84 million, or AED 0.12 per share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2014. Revenue for the third quarter ended September 30, 2015 was AED 3.05 billion, compared to AED 3.03 billion for the same quarter ended September 30, 2014.
Profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2015 was AED 1.48 billion, or AED 0.32 per share, compared to AED 1.6 billion, or AED 0.35 per share, for the same period ended September 30, 2014. Revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2015 was AED 9.19 billion, compared to AED 9.01 billion for the same period ended September 30, 2014.
DSI and du Sign Business Services Agreement

Drake & Scull International PJSC and du have announced a business services agreement. As part of the agreement, du will provide its cutting edge telecommunication services to DSI to integrate all aspects of business telecommunication within the UAE as well as exploring the possibility of implementing International Leased line circuits. DSI has been able to realize tangible cost benefits through their business relationship with du in the past, which resulted in a significant optimization in fixed line costs with the seamless integration of "Closed User group" and "Call Select" functionality, and cost saving with the "Closed User group" feature that enables free calls between employees. DSI's agreement with du also spans the provisioning of mobile devices which resulted in savings in GSM calls which has generated substantial savings over a 2 year cycle. DSI will also benefit from the "Unlimited International Data roaming" feature for executives to provide them with unlimited access to data on du's extensive global roaming network. The two companies will focus on connecting DSI's regional offices through International Leased lines to DSI's ISO 27001 certified Data center based in the Dubai Internet City in the near future.
Seadrill Selects du to Provide New Managed VSAT Services

Seadrill has selected du to provide new managed very small aperture terminal, or VSAT, services. For the first time, du is offering IP telephony to offshore Oil and Gas rigs, in addition to data traffic. In line with the agreement, Seadrill will benefit from a variety of VSAT offerings including IP VSAT, Managed Data Network services over satellite, and Satellite Integration Solutions. Furthermore, du provides integrated end-to-end solutions, delivered over a redundant backbone infrastructure. This will enable their valued enterprise customers to increase productivity and profitability through IP technology. VSAT services provide a transmission and networking connectivity utilising Very Small Aperture Terminals (earthbound station) and Space Segment to simulate terrestrial data networks. The solution is optimised to support the customer's needs, guaranteeing a consistent level of quality of service. These types of services are particularly useful for mobile platforms (marine), areas with no or limited terrestrial connectivity (deep desert), or as an alternative route (business continuity) to traditional telecommunication services.
