EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. announced that it has been awarded a contract to design three separate green infrastructure projects within the City of Omaha's combined sewer service area. The main goal of these projects is to separate stormwater and sanitary flows from the existing combined sewers. The projects include the design and installation of multiple underground storage systems that will serve to reduce the size, as well as lower the costs, of downstream piping and infrastructure. The projects also include the use of pervious pavements to reduce surface runoff, and enhancements to neighborhood parks as an added benefit to City residents. The estimated construction cost for the three projects is $10.7 million. As prime consultant, EA is tasked with the preparation of all engineering plans and specifications and bid documents as required for the letting of construction contracts. Specific tasks include field investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, utility coordination, permitting, public involvement, and bid-phase services. For the duration of the contract, EA will also be responsible for compliance with applicable requirements, the quality of work products, and the safety of onsite personnel.

EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA) has been awarded a task order to provide fence-to-fence environmental compliance services at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC). The firm-fixed price call order, which covers a base year and four 1-year options, has a potential value of $5.1 million over the 5-year period of performance. The work was awarded under EA's General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule, 899 Environmental Services, by GSA, Greater Southwest Region. Under this contract, EA is responsible to provide the full range of supporting activities necessary to conduct environmental compliance operations and services to address environmental sites and/or conditions at WPAFB. Specifically, EA is providing support in the areas of hazardous materials management; air quality; sampling, analysis, and monitoring to support waste characterization, stormwater, and site requirements; environmental management system updating and associated environmental awareness training; petroleum, oil, and lubricants management; and cultural resources management in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements.
