Perella Weinberg Partners appointed Woody Young has joined the Firm as a Partner in its Advisory business. Based in New York, Mr. Young will provide strategic and financial advice to clients in the TMT sector. Mr. Young is a veteran banker with more than 25 years of advisory experience. He joins Perella Weinberg Partners from Lazard, where he was Co-Head of the Global Telecommunications, Media, and Technology Group and a Managing Director. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners, Mr. Young was Co-Head of the Global Telecommunications, Media, and Technology Group and a Managing Director at Lazard. Mr. Young previously served as Global Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch and from 1993 to 2007 was a Managing Director and Head of the Global Communications Group at Lehman Brothers.
Bruce H. Mendelsohn Joins Perella Weinberg Partners as Partner in its Advisory Business

Perella Weinberg Partners announced that Bruce H. Mendelsohn has joined the Firm as a Partner in its Advisory business. Based in New York, Mr. Mendelsohn will lead the Firm’s restructuring practice, working closely with Partner Kevin Cofsky and the other members of the restructuring team. Mr. Mendelsohn has more than 25 years of restructuring experience. He was most recently at Goldman Sachs where he was Head of the Americas Restructuring Group and part of the Leveraged Finance Team. Mr. Mendelsohn currently serves on the Board of Directors of Her Justice.

Perella Weinberg Partners announced that it has elected five individuals to join the Firm's Partnership as of January 1, 2016. The following individuals have been elected Partners: Kevin M. Cofsky New York, Advisory Thomas D. Haines New York, Advisory, Nicholas S. M. Johnston London, Advisory, Joseph J. Lacovara 'New York, Firm Administration Darren L. Myers Denver, Asset Management. Mr. Cofsky focuses on assisting clients in connection with capital structure optimization, liability management and restructuring matters. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in 2007, Mr. Cofsky was a Principal at Kramer Capital Partners and a Managing Director at Evercore Partners. Mr. Haines focuses on advising clients on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across a diversified set of industries and geographies. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in 2006, Mr. Haines worked in the M&A Group at UBS Investment Bank, both in London and New York. Mr. Johnston focuses on advising healthcare clients across multiple sectors. Prior to joiningPerella Weinberg Partners in 2012, Mr. Johnston was an Executive Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking Division at JPMorgan, where he focused on clients in the pharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer of the operating subsidiaries of Microsulis Limited. Mr. Lacovara is the Chief Technology Officer at Perella Weinberg Partners. Prior to joining the Firm in 2006, Mr. Lacovara was the Development Manager at Tribeca Global Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund that was part of Citigroup's Alternative Investment Group. At Tribeca, Mr. Lacovara was responsible for developing, integrating and supporting software for front, middle and back office groups. Before joining Tribeca, Mr. Lacovara was the Manager of Operations Technology at SAC Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund, where he was responsible for supporting operations and accounting groups. Mr. Myers is a member of the Agility team, where he serves as the Director of Research, a Portfolio Manager, and a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in 2007, Mr. Myers was a Senior Analyst at Tejas Securities Group Inc.
