Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Announces Executive Changes

Mr. Shum Jin-Chyi Kevin will be appointed Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) with effect from Aug. 2. Mr. Shum, 44, was formerly Director (Comcare & Social Support) in the then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, and Director (Social Programmes) in the Ministry of Finance. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary (International) at MOT. Mr. Shum will be taking over from Mr. Yap Ong Heng, who at 55 will be retiring from the Administration Service. Mr. Yap has been Director-General of the CAAS since July 2009.

Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Announces Board Changes

The Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Defence, Mr. Lui Tuck Yew has appointed persons to the CAAS Board for a period of three years, with effect from July 1, 2015 as Professor Chong Tow Chong of Provost, Singapore University of Technology & Design; Mr. Han Kok Juan, Senior Director (Housing), Ministry of National Development and Ms. Mary Yeo, Vice President (Supply Chain Operations, South Asia Pacific), UPS Asia Group Pte Ltd. The company also announced that Mr. Goh Joon Seng, Consultant, M/s Lee & Lee and Mr. Yee Ping Yi, Deputy Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Finance will be stepping down on July 1, 2015.
