Mediacorp Appoints Chan Yeng Kit and Yap Chee Keong to Board of Directors

MediaCorp announced the appointments of Mr. Chan Yeng Kit and Mr. Yap Chee Keong to its board of directors, effective immediately. Mr. Chan is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence. Before this, he was Permanent Secretary of the then Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts from 2007 to 2012. He was also CEO of the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) between 2005 and 2007. Mr. Yap Chee Keong is Non-Executive Chairman of NetLink Trust. He also serves on the boards of Tiger Airways, Citibank Singapore, Straits Trading, ARA Asset Management, InterOil, Certis Cisco Security and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), and is a member of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee.

MediaCorp has appointed Shane Mitchell as head, digital. Mitchell would help accelerate the growth of its digital business. Mitchell would also focus on strengthening digital expertise across the organisation, underscoring MediaCorp's commitment to staying relevant in a changing media landscape. Mitchell would report to MediaCorp chief executive officer (CEO) Shaun Seow. Before this, Mitchell was CEO of Reddo Media Services.
