Fanatics To Reportedly Raise Funds

Fanatics, Inc. intends to raise funds from Silver Lake. Fanatics has sold a minority ownership stake to Silver Lake for $300 million, Fortune has learned. The Silver Lake investment is all for primary shares, meaning that existing Fanatics investors will hold onto their stock. The stake to be acquired is not clear and also if Kynetic L.L.C. would remain majority shareholder. Fortune added that representatives of Silver Lake and Kynetic declined comment.
Fanatics, Inc. Names Lauren Cooks Levitan as Chief Financial Officer

Fanatics Inc. named Lauren Cooks Levitan as its new chief financial officer. Levitan, who will be based in Silicon Valley, will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial planning, strategic analysis and investor relations for Fanatics. Levitan will succeed Thomas Baumlin, who has moved to an advisory role for the company.
Levitan will report directly to Mack. Levitan previously served as the co-founder and managing partner at Moxie Capital LLC, where she provided capital and advisory services to consumer-facing businesses that operated in wholesale, retail, eCommerce and direct sales Before Moxie Capital, Levitan was a managing director and senior research analyst at Cowen & Co.
Fanatics, Inc. Plans to Appoint Nick Eshkenazi as Chief Information Officer

Fanatics, Inc. announced that it will appoint a new chief information officer effectively immediately. Nick Eshkenazi will takeover for Mike Ragunas, the company's former CIO, who left the company last year. Eshkenazi will be based in Jacksonville, where the company has its enterprise solutions and operations centers. Eshkenazi will handle a range of internal and external technology for the brand's platform of consumer and partner eCommerce businesses, including customer care, fulfillment operations and information security solutions. Eshkenazi will report directly to CEO Doug Mack and partner with Matt Madrigal, the company's chief technology and product officer. Eshkenazi previously worked as CIO for the Seattle-based marketing firm SanMar, which works with sporting brands like Nike Golf and New Era. Prior to SanMar, Eshkenazi held senior technology positions at PACAAR Inc., USAA and JPMorganChase.
