Stage Entertainment has appointed former Endemol head Just Spee as the company’s new CEO. Ronald van Wechem will also join the company, taking a position on the board of directors as chief operations officer. With their arrival on 1 September 2015, there will be a reorganization of portfolios within the board of directors, with Peter O’Keeffe taking on responsibilities as chief content officer. The fourth member of the board of directors is Rob Groot, who has been chief financial officer since 2014. Just Spee recently led the international television production company Endemol as CEO from 2012 to 2014, up to the merger with Shine and Core Media. Ronald van Wechem was co-founder and managing director at Eyeworks from 2001 to 2014.

Stage Entertainment BV is reportedly selling stake to CVC Capital Partners Limited. Joop van den Ende is expected to sign an agreement with CVC Capital Partners in the next few days on the sale of a 60% stake in his international company Stage Entertainment, daily De Telegraaf reported on May 21, 2015.

CVC Capital Partners Limited reported mulls acquisition of Stage Entertainment BV. According to Sky News, CVC Capital Partners has been granted a period of exclusivity to negotiate the terms of a partnership with Stage's Founder Joop van den Ende. CVC Capital Partners is understood to be proposing to acquire a 60% stake in Stage Entertainment. Van den Ende is expected to retain the remaining shares following the deal, which sources say could be worth around €400 million. CVC Capital Partners had been bidding against Ambassador Theatre Group. A CVC Capital Partners spokesman declined to comment on May 20, 2015.
