RTI International has appointed Kimberly O'Malley as the senior vice president of education and workforce development within its social, statistical and environmental sciences business unit. In her new role, O'Malley will lead approximately 200 researchers in Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences and work closely with RTI's International Development Group business unit, including Melinda Taylor, senior vice president for international education, and Andrew Baird, senior director for workforce and economic opportunities, to grow RTI's education and workforce development business, stature and impact. O'Malley joins RTI after working for 13 years at Pearson-with 40,000 employees, where most recently she was senior vice president for the Global School Research Team.
RTI International to Construct New 190,000 Square Foot Building in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina

RTI International announced that the company to construct a new 190,000 square foot building on its main campus in Research Triangle Park, N.C. The building will be a six-story office building, featuring a 300-person multipurpose space, collaboration center, kitchen/dining space and heritage center. A four-story parking structure with approximately 650 spaces will be constructed adjacent to the office building. The project will be located in the center of RTI's campus. Construction is expected to start this fall. RTI International has selected Duda | Paine Architects to design the building and interiors. DPR Construction is constructing the building and Stewart is providing the civil engineering design. NEMA Management is serving as a consultant to RTI throughout the planning, design, and construction process.
