Baldor Electric Company, Inc. Key Developments

Baldor Electric Company Introduces New Line of High Performance Crusher Duty Motors

Baldor Electric Company introduced a new line of high performance crusher duty motors. With high breakdown and locked rotor torque performance, Baldor Reliance Crusher Duty Motors meet demands of tough crushing applications worldwide. Units are available in frame sizes from 180–449 T and meet Premium Efficiency energy standards as well as future efficiency standards outlined by Integral Horsepower Rule. Motors with roller bearings as standard are field changeable to ball bearings and suitable for across the line starting or inverter duty. The crusher duty motor platform is available in frame sizes 180T – 449T and in the power range of 5 to 350 HP. The entire product line is available from stock and meets current Premium Efficiency energy standards as well as future efficiency standards outlined by the Integral Horsepower Rule, which goes into effect June 1, 2016. Baldor enhanced the performance of the crusher duty motor platform by raising the breakdown and locked rotor torque values across the entire product platform. Higher performance is especially important in crushing applications requiring motors to be heavily loaded and potentially moving loads long distances. Flexibility and ease of use have been optimized to provide a drop-in replacement for all frame sizes. Motors with roller bearings as standard are field changeable to ball bearings and suitable for across the line starting or inverter duty.

Baldor Electric Company Introduces the Baldor-Dodge Vertical GearMotor

Baldor Electric Company announced a new addition to gear reducer product offering, the Baldor-Dodge Vertical GearMotor. The Vertical GearMotor offers a cost effective alternative to the common low speed vertical pump drive technologies, which utilize large, high pole count vertical motors or a combination of horizontal motor with a right angle gear reducer. The Vertical GearMotor is built on a standard low pole count induction motor platform utilizing proven, highly efficient Dodge planetary gearing. This results in a smaller, lighter, highly efficient drive package. The Baldor-Dodge Vertical GearMotor product line is available in six (6) sizes for vertical pump speeds from approximately 100 RPM to 500 RPM. The Vertical GearMotor has torque ratings from 550,000 in-lbs. through 7,000,000 in-lbs. and approximate power ratings from 750 HP to over 25,000 HP, depending on output RPM.

Baldor Introduces Addition to the Washdown Family - Ultra Kleen® Tigear-2®

Baldor Electric Company introduced a new addition to its washdown family of enclosed gear reducer products 'the Baldor Dodge'® Ultra Kleen® Tigear-2®. The Ultra Kleen Tigear-2 showcases a new standard for stainless steel gear reducers with an all-new sanitary design that is completely sealed against high pressure, high temperature and caustic washdown environments. Ultra Kleen Tigear-2 reducers feature all stainless steel construction, including a laser-etched nameplate for permanent, sanitary product identification, input ratings up to 5HP, and are available in five case sizes for optimized performance. All Ultra Kleen reducers are manufactured with premium stainless steel housings, are available with solid or hollow output shafts and are factory-filled with H1 food grade synthetic lubrication. The reducers are protected by a two-piece harsh duty output sealing system that includes an axial sealing lip for superior wear and contamination exclusion, and a rounded housing to prevent water pooling.
