The videos, which were posted online only, were taken down Jan. 15, 2013.
Big Sky Brewing Co. Sues Anheuser-Busch over Slogan in Krasinski Videos
Dec 30 13
Big Sky Brewing Co. on Dec. 20, 2013 filed a lawsuit against Anheuser-Busch over its use of the phrase 'hold my beerand watch this' in videos. Big Sky on Dec. 9, 2013 sent Anheuser-Busch a letter demanding that it cease and desist using the slogan in connection with any advertising campaign or any other use related to any beer or beer-related products. Anheuser-Busch's unauthorized use of the 'hold my beer and watch this' mark deprives Big Sky of the ability to control the consumer perception of the quality of the goods marketed under the 'hold my beer and watch this,' and instead, places Big Sky's valuable reputation and goodwill into the hands of Anheuser-Busch, over whom Big Sky has no control. Anheuser-Busch disagreed. Anheuser-Busch said that there is no trademark use of the phrase 'Hold my beer and watch this,' nor is there intent to create any association with Big Sky. Big Sky is seeking unspecified damages from Anheuser-Busch and hopes to recoup any profits Anheuser-Busch received from using the slogan.
